Roti canai for dinner

.

I've been a very good boy for the past two weeks now, saving money and eating roti canai for dinner. Now that I'm using my own money for most things (including food, petrol, season parking, yamcha, etc), I'm starting to realise how important money is especially when you don't want to depend on your parents. Not that I never realised it before, but I never really felt the pinch until now.

For a start, I tried refusing yamcha sessions sometimes. Even If I did, I would just tag along, but keep ordering to the minimal. I even gave up dinners on those RM5+ meals to settle on roti canai and a teh o ais which would cost me less than RM3.

The trick to keep yourself full with that? Flood your roti canai with the curry and dhal and whatever nice gravy they provide, so it would be more filling. Works for me. =]

The only drawback here is, my body ain't getting enough nutrients. I'm in danger of getting much thinner (not like I'm thin enough already)! Darn it.

Actually I can't do much either. I'm stuck with this diet until I receive my next salary. Mr. Daniel oh please give me my salary alreadyyyy =(

Ipoh overnite trip

.

Hey yo! I'm back. Anyone noticed?

The holidays are back again! Since we just went through a short semester, this break's gonna be for 2 short weeks as well. Just came back from an overnight trip to Ipoh last night with Annie, Ju Keat, Andrew and Edric (the driver XD). We pretty much stuffed ourselves with food throughout the whole trip, though Annie didn't really get to show us to all the places she wanted. Our stomachs just couldn't take it anymore. XD

Now that the holidays are here, I'm gonna have to think bout what I can do (and should do) again.. hopefully they are beneficial. Oh! I still have a few more episodes of Dragonball Z to go. Hee~

Our stock to keep awake while driving there

The range of foods available in one local coffee shop (nice~)

Hakka mee which I confused with Hokkien mee

And if we're not eating? Playing cards!

For more pics just have a look in my facebook profile..There were still lots of food pics which I forgot to take ==

2 months after it happened, I still can't exactly tell if I've completely gotten over her. Sure I've stopped thinking bout it, but at times the moments we had still popped out out of nowhere. The good thing is, I'm not as upset anymore. All I wanted is just to really be wanted. Right now, I just couldn't bring myself to say "I'm happy to be single"

Deep inside I'm still searching.

Third buka puasa treat this month

.

FOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOODS =DD

This month itself I've had 3 buka puasa treats.. The foods are actually more or less the same, but they taste great nevertheless! Though sometimes the foods are tasteless, it's something we look forward to almost everyday during the fasting month.

Feast your eyes!! ;D

Before we unwrap the foods

A close up

Waiting for mummy to PROPERLY unwrap the foods =P

*puppy eye stare*

Everyone full and happy =]

At DS class, again

I'm blogging secretly from Database Systems class, again! =P

I'm done with the current work anyway. Secret or not, doesn't matter lah. The slow pace she's going is making most of us sleepy (especially during her lectures), but at least I could make sure I know what I'm doing.

Anyway! Me and my classmates went to the Ramadhan Bazaar in the nearby housing area to buy our buka puasa treat yseterday. Buka puasa foods sold are always smell so good and are so mouth-watering, but something when you bought them home you might be disappointed with the taste and texture.

Chicken butts remind me of Crystal. =P

*ahem*

Roti jalar, ayam goreng berempah, satay, kuih piring, sago, mi goreng, nasi briyani.. Foods that are truly Malaysian!

Now that the foods are gone, my patriotism mode is off. =]

Yesterday's 09-09-09.. did anything special? ^^

Crash Test Mummy Appreciation Day

.

aka Mummy's Day. Have you dedicated today specially to her? =)

To celebrate today, we took her for dinner at Taipan's Daorae - Korean BBQ! Haven't actually tried the food there before, so my sister suggested that we go there for dinner.

This one, this one, and thaaaat one!

You could see from the pic that the sun's shining directly onto our seat. The place was hot, air-conds ain't turned on earlier, and we're barbeque-ing things right in front of us. It's hot. HOT!

My sis and her bf

My two sisters

Turn the air-cond on.. It's HOT here!

And of course, the main guest today..

Pork? Beef? Chicken?? O.o

My beloved mummy. =D

And then came the food.

*drools*

Makan makan!

Nothing much to comment bout the food.. If you like Korean food, then you might like it here. I find the taste is not worth the price, but it's just nice if you're eating it just for the sake of trying it.

RM200+......?

Expensive le..

Wait ah, I call my bank see got enough money onot..

Anyways, whatever the price and taste, today is dedicated to our long-lasting crash test mummy. Though I do not have much to give to you yet, I hope this blog post is sufficient, for you.

Happy Mummy's Day, mummy dear. =) *kiss*

A lunchbox

.

This morning, I woke up half an hour later than usual. I would be late for the first class anyway, I thought, so I continued sleeping for a few moments more before finally deciding to head to the bathroom for a good teeth-brushing and a shower.

Wednesday isn't always the type of day I'm looking forward for due to it's long class schedule, and today's no different. Knowing that I've missed the first Mathematics class and the exam tips is bad enough. To make things worse, we're gonna have our Design Studies test today. Well it's not that bad actually, but the word 'test' still makes me shudder a bit.

My mum told me already she'll be off at 3k with my elder sister for a swim by the time I'm awake. So I was thinking like, where am I gonna get my breakfast and lunch later? Nevermind, perhaps a couple of biscuits and a packet of milk will do..

After I wiped myself clean and gelled my hair, I put on my necklace and wallet and handphone, carried my sling bag and went downstairs. As I went t0 the kitchen to fill up my water bottle, a familiar lunchbox greeted me with a small note attached to it.

Jason,

For u to bring to college for lunch.
Mimi

This is not the first time she has prepared lunch for me, but seeing this somehow made me ponder.. How long can I still have my mum prepare lunch for me like that? The semi-transparent lunchbox and a small piece of note, I could feel the love my mum poured in when she prepared it for me. And it is these things that many people, myself included, often take for granted. Such a simple thing, yet so beautiful.

The egg sandwich inside is lovely. =)

"For lunch, it's Orange most of the time."

.

I just realised today that Edward, Jeevan and me were featured in the college magazine after being interviewed about the food cafes around the college. Yay I'm featured! XD *syok sendiri*

"The cafeteria food wouldn't be that bad to say it sucks, but we still prefer Orange's variety."

Did I really said that? O_o
