Since the past month, dad has been trying to learn to use the computer. Having not trusted technology and being an IT-illiterate himself, his new work has made him to be more aware on the use of computers. So yea, since then he has been trying very hard to learn from me and my sisters.
Though of course, he still has trouble understanding the difference between files and folders, save and save as, enter and backspace, copy-paste and cut-paste, etc as well as having a hard time pinpointing the cursor, highlighting/dragging, and locating folders.
And today? My dad just got a new thumbdrive from his office.
"Hey! I just got a new thumbdrive from the office"
o_o "Wah. How big is it?"
"Neh, as big as my thumb lor."

Petsiblings?
.
How many of you went through the experience of having petsiblings (or korkor jiejie muimui didi abang kakak angkat) before? And how many of you retained (or will retain) that relationship until the times after you leave school life into college life, or when you started working?
Being one myself, I do have my own share of experiences. But from time to time, I do ask myself, "Why do I wanna have petsisters?".
Some may say, 'having' petsiblings are the then-trend. Say says petsiblings are just replacements for single people who don't have girlfriends or boyfriends yet. Some do it just for fun.
Personally, I (tend to) want younger petsisters because I don't have a muimui at home. I don't deny that the truth of the factors mentioned above, but perhaps this was really why I started having them in the first place. I do have older petsisters, and since they are away most of the time, I miss them lots.
My petsisters are mostly my juniors in the school, mostly made up of random close chit-chats overnight. Starting this relationship is one thing, and maintaining them is the, well, hard (?) part. Much like those bf/gf relationships most of you have already heard of, to me, having petsisters are like having additional members in the family. Of course, young, naive kids like us always misinterpret and have misunderstanding on this relationship with each other. I tried to keep us close together, but I often messed up the way (come on, I may not be that mature after all).
You know.. whether I call you petsis, muimui, baka, whatever it is, I love you all to bits. Whatever terms we refer to each other, you all are like my own sisters. This isn't the kind of bonds you should easily call it quits just like how bf/gf could.
However, just recently, the muimui that I had been very close with for the past few years, told me that "I can't bring myself to call you korkor anymore". I knew she would say this someday, looking at how she'd changed after she left high school into collegehood. She seemed so happy with her life now in which I guess, as a friend, I should be supporting her. Right? I'm still a lil sad that she will think this way, though.
Of course, not everyone thinks like I do. I've had numerous such 'petsisters', but only few of them still calls me their 'korkor'. I don't know why but everytime I hear them call me 'korkor', my day is instantly lit up. A smile decorates my faces immediately.
I don't know how long will this relationship last, but I hope the memories will be kept. No one says we cannot have bf/gf with petsiblings though.
Dear baka, I love you all! You know who you are. =)

Crash Test Mummy Appreciation Day
.
aka Mummy's Day. Have you dedicated today specially to her? =)
To celebrate today, we took her for dinner at Taipan's Daorae - Korean BBQ! Haven't actually tried the food there before, so my sister suggested that we go there for dinner. This one, this one, and thaaaat one!
You could see from the pic that the sun's shining directly onto our seat. The place was hot, air-conds ain't turned on earlier, and we're barbeque-ing things right in front of us. It's hot. HOT!My sis and her bf
My two sisters
Turn the air-cond on.. It's HOT here!
And of course, the main guest today..Pork? Beef? Chicken?? O.o
My beloved mummy. =D
And then came the food.*drools*
Makan makan!
Nothing much to comment bout the food.. If you like Korean food, then you might like it here. I find the taste is not worth the price, but it's just nice if you're eating it just for the sake of trying it.RM200+......?
Expensive le..
Wait ah, I call my bank see got enough money onot..
Anyways, whatever the price and taste, today is dedicated to our long-lasting crash test mummy. Though I do not have much to give to you yet, I hope this blog post is sufficient, for you.
Happy Mummy's Day, mummy dear. =) *kiss*

Shades of Red
.
In exactly 24 hours and 40 minutes from now, Chinese people from all around the world will celebrate the coming of the new Ox Year! I'm still not too familiar as to which zodiac it will be in years to come, except the Horse Year for year 2014,2026, 2038(the list goes on~) since I'm born in the Horse Year. Okay Horse Year and Ox Year is soon becoming a cliche so I'll stop using the words.
The colour red is often used by the Chinese especially during the new year due to its significance and an auspicious colour believed to bring in good luck and ward off evil. *ward off evil I dunno got or not la but I know it's for lucky reasons =P*
Actually I'm not here to write about the zodiac and colour. I just wanna talk about a coincidence. While I was having dinner earlier with my family somewhere in a random restaurant at Puchong there, we coincidentally ordered drinks with the shades of red.
(from left) Pink guava, Air bandung, Watermelon juice, Coke
The foods there were above average la, not too bad. But the thing there that I looked forward most to is Fried Mozarella Cheese. =P
*darn I forgot to take pic of it*

Holding hands ain't for just young couples
.
Just take a walk down any shopping streets or malls and you're sure to come across many(and I mean MANY, close to MUCH =P) young couples ranging from kiddy 12-years-olds to young adults in their 20s, holdings hands as they waltzed around from boutiques to cinemas, from arcades to cafes. Unlike the olden days, couples now aren't shy to show to the world that they're in a relationship(or commiting a scandal, lol), walking about with their fingers interclasped as they whispered things into each other's ears, giggling as they do.
Some people may view them as puppy lovebirds and some may feel jealous because they don't have a bf/gf to hold hands with. Either way, it is just one of the many methods used to show their partners that they're adored and wants to be adored. Holding hands won't necessarily mean "I love you" because the word love is always overused and misunderstood. I could go on and on to express my opinion on the difference between like and love, but it's completely unneccessary in this post. So I'll pass. =)
Note that I'm emphasising holding hands here?
Earlier tonight when I was going to have dinner with my parents outside, they held hands as they walked across the street, crossed drains and passed through rows of shops. I couldn't resist the urge to snap a picture of it(I never could), so I did. Not a picture perfect on quality, but I got what I wanted. =D
This somewhat sweet moment hit a bump in the road later when we were having dinner and..
"****!! I didn't bring my wallet along!" -Dad

A lunchbox
.
This morning, I woke up half an hour later than usual. I would be late for the first class anyway, I thought, so I continued sleeping for a few moments more before finally deciding to head to the bathroom for a good teeth-brushing and a shower.
Wednesday isn't always the type of day I'm looking forward for due to it's long class schedule, and today's no different. Knowing that I've missed the first Mathematics class and the exam tips is bad enough. To make things worse, we're gonna have our Design Studies test today. Well it's not that bad actually, but the word 'test' still makes me shudder a bit.
My mum told me already she'll be off at 3k with my elder sister for a swim by the time I'm awake. So I was thinking like, where am I gonna get my breakfast and lunch later? Nevermind, perhaps a couple of biscuits and a packet of milk will do..
After I wiped myself clean and gelled my hair, I put on my necklace and wallet and handphone, carried my sling bag and went downstairs. As I went t0 the kitchen to fill up my water bottle, a familiar lunchbox greeted me with a small note attached to it.
Jason,
This is not the first time she has prepared lunch for me, but seeing this somehow made me ponder.. How long can I still have my mum prepare lunch for me like that? The semi-transparent lunchbox and a small piece of note, I could feel the love my mum poured in when she prepared it for me. And it is these things that many people, myself included, often take for granted. Such a simple thing, yet so beautiful.
The egg sandwich inside is lovely. =)

Money not enough 2
.
Long story short, a later class got cancelled today so Carmen, Crystal, Ju Keat, Sarah, Yu Liang and me went to watch a show titled 'Money not enough 2'. It's a Mandarin-Hokkien show filmed in Singapore. I'm not gonna spoil it for you guys, but I strongly, very strongly(I mean it!) recommend that you guys go and watch this movie. Who knows you might shed a tear or two while rekindling the lesson you've been taught, the one some of you might have taken for granted all the while?
Just to note, I'm not fluent in neither Mandarin nor Hokkien, and I could still grasp the message firmly. And I cried. As in, I really did. Never before had a show made me cried a litre of tears.. *okay I'm exaggerating a lil bit XD*
*ahem* But I still cried.
Please, do go and watch the show. I won't waste my time asking you guys to if it's not a good one. =)
Pic of the day :
Love is the little thing rekindled in my heart today. =)

4-hours break??
.
Most student would scream and jump in joy whenever they know their class is cancelled. Even me, I'm no exception. But what if you're suddenly 'given' a 4-hour break? Now that's another story.
Earlier in the morning, we started a 1-hour Mathematics 2 class at 8.30am. After the class we had a 2-hour break before English 2 class starts. After English class we have another one-hour break and then the Design Studies class will start.
After the 2-hour break, we returned to class only to find out that English class has been cancelled. So how long more til the next class? You do the math. ==
Neways Design Studies class was pretty okay.. Made haste and completed the work she gave so I wouldn't have to bring the work home. Free time now, w00t! =D
Maybe I'm gonna play DotA again, or just watch You Don't Mess with the Zohan. Either way, I'm free. =]
Pic of the day :
This, is my eldest sister.
"Mine, all MINE!!" *evil laughs*

A quiet one
.
Yesterday's birthday was rather quiet compared to the previous years. Did nothing much, except waiting til my sister came back from work, sang the birthday song, cut the cake, eat the cake, and it's the end.
I have to thank my friends for bringing me out clubbing on the first day I turn legal, haha! Though falling down while doing a breakdance move was rather embarassing. =.=
Ice cream cake! It's still nice, though a little too sweet for my liking. =)
A big THANK YOU to all those who wished me yesterday no matter how busy you guys are k? Really appreciate them. =)
I'm still uploading the sabah trip pics into photobucket, so please bear with me and wait if you wanna see the pics kay? There's gonna be lots of them. =)
Out of the 11 of you, only 1 remembered.

Sri Hartamas
.
Heyy guys.. I've actually went to a complex in Sri Hartamas today. I admit I've never been there before, so yeah, please bear with my 'jakun-ness' a bit. =P
My family planned to go to Sri Hartamas for dinner today, so yeah, I took some pics while I'm at it. Not gonna talk much.
Apparently people there are very honest. The owner left the shop unattended with this note.
I like this pic. =D
I like the name. =D
I like the view. =D
This Booker T action figure looks gay.
These are actually decorations on the walls of a restaurant. Rock climbing anyone?
They have lavender incense sticks..
..citronella(whatever that is) incense sticks..
..and poison incense sticks. Wtf? O_o
I've heard of it, seen it on TV, and thought that I've went there before.
But I'm wrong. I've never actually ventured to Sri Hartamas before. That's sad.
But today I had. =]
Someone spam this fella please.
